Well gang, the cookies have been baked, the bags
(and boxes... and tupperware containers...) are packed,
and it's almost time to head on home for the holidays.
I have a full day of work tomorrow, and then I have a
fun-filled 8 hour drive to Regina. This year my brother
is tagging along for the ride, so I will have to keep my
singing to a bare minimum I suppose. The last trip we took
back to Regina together, he smoked up 6 times!!! In 8 hours!!!
To say the least, my brother and I have always been
somewhat estranged. Good thing I borrowed those learn to
speak Czech cd's from the... (more)

Well gang, one down, 3 more exams to go. And two essays. And a
partridge in a pear tree. I just about slept right through my exam
today, but made it just in time. Computer science. What a waste of
time. If I pass that course it will be a blooming, bloody miracle.
I seem to have lost my voice over the past 12 hours. It might have
something to do with playing NTN trivia for 4 hours in a smoky bar
this weekend. Ah well... I heard from my good friend Lisa
Lobsinger, who is currently in Frankfurt, Germany touring with
Broken Social Scene. I miss her terribly and wish she were here... (more)

Ok, so I'm pretty bored, and I just finished

watching "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" which was actually

pretty boring for an action movie. And there

wasn't enough Adam Brody. Anyhoo... I've just

been sitting here googling names of people I knew

from high school, and low and behold, I too, am

only separated by two degrees from Brad Piit.

I dated a boy in the 10th grade who went on to

be Adam Brody's stunt double in an episode of "The

Sausage Factory". How funny. It truly is a small

world afterall. Now that I'm done with my group

project from... (more)

I can't tell you how frustrating it is to spend every

free waking moment in the past two weeks working on a

group presentation on infanticide only to learn that

the group member who is responsible for the power point

slide show has created what resembles an anti-abortion

campaign that would make a survivor of the Rwandan genocide

feel queasy.

I don't work well with others!!! Why can't profs just

accept this?!

I just had the strangest feeling while driving

home from the airport. I was driving down Memorial

and though I was driving in the same direction as

everyone else, I felt sure that I was going the wrong

way. Interpretations, anyone?

Good things:

* My Mum has been visiting me this week.

   She's a hoot.

* I found a pair of brown suede boots -

    in my size!

* I only have one more week of school.

* My Christmas lights are up.

* Peter Ackroyd's biography of Shakespeare.

* It's snowing!

* My little weiner schnitzel is coming to live with me!

* I'm going to make Fet Kegels this weekend!

* I'm hosting book club this weekend and they will

get to eat the fet kegels!

* I'm getting my first ever NDP sign!

Bad things:

* The heat does not work in my apartment.

(I think my landlord is now... (more)

Fashion vs. Function

As most of you know, I don't go in for fashion

too often. But I find it absolutely ridiculous

that H&M does not have an online catalogue to

make purchases from. Especially now that Stella

McCartney has designed a really affordable line

of clothes for them. What century are we in?!

I have a splitting headache today.

Hey all. I've been meaning to write lately but

other than my mental health woes, I simply don't

have that much to chat about! Life has become very

boring lately for some reason. Lots of average stuff,

but nothing really exciting. I put up my Christmas

lights and decorations - they look quite cheery.

I'm almost done my Christmas shopping - which is

good because then I will still have a wee bit of

money left over to be able to afford to drive home

on the 23rd of December. I saw Harry Potter - which

I loved because the characters are all so gangly and

awkward... (more)
